Our ongoing projects
If women AND men take over responsibilty and participate actively in family planning, the easier it is to establish prosperity, gender equality, and finally peace!
Since 2009, we have been able to train almost 700 Rain Workers in 12 East and West African countries and share educational information regarding family planning with more than 500 000 people!

We cannot expect women to give birth until they die from it. We cannot afford that in our humanity.
I have been following Dr. Hengstberger’s commitment for a very long time and I am delighted to see that great things have developed from the original idea. May you all continue to put so much energy into these ideas and their implementation!
All the best,

Enabling access to family planning not only increases individual’s autonomy, it is also the answer to many of the economic, social, demographic, and environmental issues of our time.
It is important to note culture, tradition, and religion when undertaking development work, as these factors determine individual’s lives and responses to new information. Aktion Regen works with local Rain Workers to share information that is accessible, suitable to cultural contexts and understandable.
Maria has always told us “grab your future”. I am proud to be a Rain Worker and to spread the knowledge on family planning. It is for our future!
We thank our partners, sponsors, and friends for the continuous co-operation and support over the last 30 years! We hope to work on many more projects in the future together.
